The "Women Force" Of Amateur Sports In Turkey

 

Undisputed, they are the top of our limits. Volleyball is the top place for women success in Turkey with the share of basketball. How?

The Turks sport mentality are always working for football. Pure, excellent team sport football. All things turn around Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Turkish National Football Team. Unfortunately, high percentage of Turkish people think nothing more except those 4 teams. But let me remind something; Turkish women volleyball clubs; Eczacibasi, Vakifbank and Fenerbahce hitted the "European Champion" title 4 times in last 5 years. Rest 1 year? Vakifbank were 2nd position. They also have the "FIVB World Club Championship Cup" in their museums. In national teams, Turkey has been changing the main shell last 3-4 years. This changing shaked the team a bit but Turkey used to get great positions in World Gand Prix and European Championships. Lastly, they won the first European Games championships in Baku/AZ.

This is a complete success story in my opinion. In clubs, Turkish clubs are the best in the Europe, in the World indeed. For national team, Turkey is the one of the fearful teams on the World.

What about basketball. Basketball is not as successfull as volleyball. Galatasaray won European's second big cup in 2009. Also they won the Euroleague in 2014, this means they were on the top of the Europe a year ago. This year, Fenerbahçe played the final. This was their second final. Last year when Galatasaray was on the top, they were on the second place. Also Kayseri played in the European's second big cup and they reached the final in this year.

In national team, Turkey doesn't have a championship but they have been in best 4 teams at last 4 years. This is an important sign for them. By this improvement, both volleyball and basketball teams will be the champion at one day; definiely.

Women are exposed abuse, violence, discrimination in this country. This blogpost is the success of the Women of Turkey. They have the hardest situation but they never stop working, training. Go on girls, the stories that are unwritten, wait for you!
